Pet care experience
I have two wonderful dogs at home (not here, with my family): a Pitbull-Great Dane mix and a mutt. I have experience in dogsitting, and I also trained both of my dogs. I am a barista and have a flexible schedule. I have volunteered at an animal shelter and a petting zoo, and had a lot of fun at each. I love animals and have experience caring for them, from the fun stuff to the nitty-gritty I have no qualms about cleaning up after a dog that is not house-trained or has an accident, as I have dogsat dogs where this happened before and neither of my dogs back home were house-trained when we adopted them. (I have also dogsat at a house with cats and have cared for a kitten before, so there's no issue with cats either!)

Amber was amazing with our pup Annie! She was able to last minute watch her over a holiday and was flexible with our drop off and pick up times and changes. She is very kind and clearly knowledgeable and passionate about dogs! I usually get worried when leaving our pup with someone new but I felt completely at ease and knew she would be so well taken care of with Amber. We will definitely be asking for Amber to care for Annie again in the future! Thanks Amber!
Amber loves dogs and Amber will love your dog. Amber has taken care of my dog on numerous occasions. She has taken him for walks, played with him, and given him the attention that he wants/needs. I would not hesitate to use Amber again or to recommend her for your dog.
I have known Amber for 5 years and I highly recommend her as a pet sitter. She is a responsible, intelligent, and kind young woman. Amber took care of Posey for us on more than one occasion, and even for long periods of time, and every time Amber returns to our home, Posey gets so excited to see her! Amber lights up when she sees any dog - she absolutely adores them. Posey was very happy and well-adjusted every time we returned after she was in Amber's care, so I knew Amber had been great with her. We have absolutely no complaints and highly recommend Amber as a loving and responsible pet sitter. She is trustworthy and will take care of your animal(s) just the way you request.
Amber is a loving, responsible dog owner who has consistently demonstrated an inherent love for dogs. She has taken great care of my dog for several years, and those of my friends as well. We all always come back to find very well-adjusted pooches who were obviously cared for with no hitch in their routine. Amber is good with following directions and with asking questions when I’ve left something out. She also clearly adores all dogs of all types, and they love her. I highly recommend her.

I have lots of experience giving oral meds to dogs (even ones that are tricky about taking pills— my dog back home always spit them out and I had to figure out new ways to get her to take them). I’ve watched dogs that had diapers, and dogs that needed pee pads and weren’t potty-trained, so I have experience with those kinds of things. I used to work at a zoo, so there’s not much that fazes me.

A typical day
I follow the lead of the pet— I’d play with them if they have toys they’d like to play with, or I love to try and teach them tricks, or take them on walks. I know some pets are more shy with new people, and I’d also be happy to just be a presence there to keep them company!

My schedule changes week to week, but I work part-time so am pretty flexible! I miss my dogs which are back in Ohio, so I’d love to dedicate a good amount of time to this.
