Pet care experience
Hi everyone! I’m Amber and I love pets! I’m a 31-year old nursing student and have one doggo, a German Sheppie named Kenya! I am a retired Army Engineer Officer and recently completed a 10 year commitment. Prior to that I have worked as a country correctional officer, computer technician, political field staffer, and dog daycare team member. When I'm not spending time with my pup, I can guarantee I am either in the gym lifting or trying out a new food place. I am currently on a break from my accelerated nursing program and work full time. I look forward to meeting you and your fur kids. With my current schedule, I have a lot of availability until school begins beginning of January. I work a part time job and am in the process of launching a small business, but am generally free and have no issues changing my schedule to accommodate you! I am very careful and thorough with each pet I take on. My own German Shepherd is an escape artist herself so I am very attentive to details and am sure to take all necessary precautions to create the safest environment possible for your pet.

Amber is awesome and made the process very easy given my last minute search for someone to take care of my dog Mando. He is a 120lb 2 year old that is nothing but friendly…just a lot of playful dog. We had the opportunity to meet beforehand and it was easy to see she was not only comfortable with him right away but he was comfortable with her as well. Seeing the pictures
Amber did an outstanding job with my pup. He was rescued from a shelter and requires special care and medications so I am not comfortable leaving him with just anyone. Both her military and nursing background made me confident in selecting her over other sitters on Rover. She learned how to do his medication during our meet and greet and kept in close contact with me during her visits. In addition, she is able to comfortably administer medications to cats so I will most definitely be using her in the near future when I go away for a longer trip.
I highly recommend Amber as a dog walker! We have used her service on several occasions, from short day trips to busy work weeks. She is prompt, reliable and trusty worthy. Benji, our goldendoodle is always happy to see her and super excited to be walked. He’s very active and can be a handful but she always has patience with him. Amber is great with communication so I never have to worry about my pup or home. She is definitely an great dog walker and caretaker!

I prefer to do meet and greets if possible beforehand just to get a good idea of the pup/kitty I will be working with. Also, I am more than happy to travel (within reason) if you are outside my area but will have to modify my prices to cover transportation costs.
A typical day
I really enjoy taking long walks, playing fetch, tug-of-war, or any of your pet's favorite games. If Mom or Dad permit, we will stop for puppacinos or ice cream on hot days.
