Hi there! I am a graduate acting student at NYU. I love cooking, exploring NYC, Shakespeare, exercise, and most importantly-DOGS! I hail from Washington, DC where I grew up around dogs and was the unofficial 'dog walker' and 'pet sitter' of my neighborhood. In my past work experience I have been entrusted to care for infants to teenagers, lululemon shoppers to VIP celebrities, puppies to elderly dogs. I understand that a dog is another member of the family and that every dog has their own unique personality. I believe that my patience, playful personality, commitment to quality care, and experience are corners on which make me an excellent care giver and friend to anyone, and more importantly, any pup, I meet. Amaya is awesome. She’s a friendly, outgoing, clear communicator—and she provided daily updates and photos while we were gone. Our dog became friends with her right away! We hope to bring Anaya back to stay with our critters again soon!

We have a sweet little terrier corgi mix, and if I’m ever in a pinch, I know Amaya is one of the first people I should call. She’s loving, resourceful, and great with dogs, big or small. With Amaya, I always know my pup is in the safest, sweetest and most playful of hands!
Amaya is a natural with dogs! By the end of her first visit, my two frenchies were preferring to snuggle up with her than me! Haha she is very bright and energetic and took careful note of how to care for my pups. Highly recommend!

Some things I'd like to know about your dog include: -how does your dog feels about people petting him or her -do they like to play or just hang out -any allergies -do they like to play with/be around other dogs -do they like to run -is there anything that scares your dog -any rituals or routines you'd like me to observe with your dog -treats? -diet -what is the usual amount you'd like them to poop or pee on a given walk
A typical day
I love taking walks to parks: Central Park, Washington Square Park (where there's a wonderful dog park), Riverside Park, and then walking through the city from all the way downtown to Columbus Circle. I am always on a search for new routes to explore though and often find that if I allow the dog to lead the way we end up finding some wonderful new spots in NYC. I also understand that routine may be best for some dogs and am always happy to comply with a specific route your dog loves. Your dog and I can do everything from playing (fetch, tug of war, etc.) to just hanging out and rolling in that grass if that's what your dog prefers.
