Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs in our household and am a proud owner of our gentle giant, Tito! I am well versed with dog behavior and understand that nagging feeling of wanting someone to be present for your furry friend while you work longer days, are out of town, or just need a hand if something comes up. I often watch my family members dogs while they are out of town for a night or longer hours and enjoy the companionship my pup gains from the experience and the socialization it offers everyone.

I cannot recommend Amanda enough! I have known Amand since before she got her dog Tito, and she has done an excellent job raising Tito to be good with people and other dogs alike. Amanda is an excellent dog mom who has excelled in training her dog and giving him the most loving home. When I compare Tito's training to most other dogs I know, Tito excels. He is obedient, playful, and listens to Amanda. She walks him nearly every day and has always made sure he is well cared for. Tito is awesome with other dogs as well. I trust him so much that when I first got my own dog, Tito was the first dog I introduced him to because I knew Tito could teach my dog how to play and would be a great first experience for him. I know of at least two other people who have done the same based on my recommendation and had similarly excellent experiences. Now, my dog and Tito are so good together and I have a confident pup thanks to Tito! Amanda is a responsible, caring dog mom who will go above and beyond for any dog she looks after. She is experienced watching other dogs in our friend group and would make an amazing Rover Caregiver. There are few people I would trust my dog with, but Amanda is absolutely at the top of my list.

My dog was crate trained until he was old enough to be trusted in the house without being crated so I understand the strict kennel schedule some dogs may need. Additionally, our house is on a residential street with a fenced in back yard and additional chicken wire for smaller dogs. My dog, Tito, gets daily walks of at least a mile and on less-busy days we can do longer distances. He is well socialized with large, medium, and small dogs (his best friend is a 10 pound wiener dog) and had had experience with puppies including overnight stays. We understand that sometimes schedules or routines are important for our pups so we are pretty adaptable to anyone's needs!

A typical day
A typical stay with us could mean long walks to downtown ferndale where they may get additional pets from others visiting, hanging out in the backyard while we grill out and hang out on the sun porch, and visiting pet-friendly places if they prefer to be brought along for a night out.

I am currently studying for my board exam for my doctorate and have spare time to check in on dogs, provide walks or be around for some much needed love while you are away!
