Pet care experience
My name is Amanda and I had a 13 year old Beagle/Jack Russel Terrier mix whom I took care of from puppy - elder. I absolutely LOVE dogs. My own dog was so spoiled beyond belief as proof! I am working too much right now to have a dog so I consider my client's pets to be my own and I care for them as such. I have taken care of many different breeds with different medical needs including seizures, diabetes, multiple forms of anxiety and more. Dogs are not just pets. They are an extremely important part of the family. For some people, their dog might be the most important thing in the entire world. I get that. Dogs depend on us for everything: food, water, shelter, medicine -- even being let outside to use the bathroom. That's not something I take lightly. I love walking dogs, playing with them, bathing them and even just lounging around knowing he/she is content and happy just because someone is with him/her. I am currently trying to transition into pet sitting full time and would love to build up a clientele.
Reviews
Amanda is wonderful with my puppy! She sends me updates during her visits as well as pictures and takes great care of him! I highly recommend Amanda and will continue to use her!

Safety, trust & environment
I had a beagle/jack russell mix so I am VERY aware of possible dangers/triggers for dogs and can quickly scan a room or yard for anything that might hurt them or get them into trouble. Certain breeds are great escape artists and I take great care when entering or leaving through a door. If I let a dog out into a yard, I ALWAYS check the yard and along fences/gates before I do so. It may seem overboard, but again, I want to minimize any issues before they were to even arise. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns!
Information Amanda W. would like to know about your pet
•What his or her favorite treats are •General temperament towards other dogs/animals/people •If he or she has a tendency to "escape" from a yard or collar •Any anxiety issues
A typical day
I love being around animals and making their day brighter. They rely on us for everything - we are their whole world! They only get the experiences we expose them to and I think it's so important to allow them to see different scenery and go different places. For holidays I like planning Easter egg hunts or help them unwrap a gift, take them to see Santa at a pet store, etc. I'd love to try and create a scavenger hunt or take a dog to an agility course, different parks or even different routes in your neighborhood. I try to make each experience a special one that a dog and owner would appreciate.

I currently work 4 days a week but would love to leave that job and care for pets full time! I would have no issues walking or checking up on a pet before or after my job on those days. I can also try to drop a day at work if you are truly in need of pet care! Feel free to contact me with any scheduling questions.
