Pet care experience
Hi! I'm a 25 year old finishing up medical school this spring and looking for some pet sitting jobs in the meantime. As for pet experience, I have loved and cared for my puppy, Buddy, for the last 16 years. We enjoy going to the park, cuddling, and practicing tricks. I'm an avid runner and will run/walk/play fetch with your dog. I will happily bring your dog to the dog park a block from my house. Feeding and giving medications are not an issue either. I have also worked as an EMT for 5+ years so I am prepared for whatever situation your dog or cat may throw at me. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I have a flexible schedule as well. I am fully vaccinated and boosted, and I will be wearing a mask for our interactions.

Let me just say: wow. My dog can be a little fickle with her humans, but she warmed right up to Amanda! Amanda was amazing with her and they got to play so much fetch. 100% will be a repeat customer!!
Amanda was professional, communicative, attentive and kind. The was the first time I have ever left my dogs with anyone and the longest I have been away; with the check in cards, photos and messages, I got detailed information, a run down of the visit and attention beyond what I could expect or imagine! Amanda is an excellent caregiver and a true dog person! She has taken care of her own dog, Buddy, for years, taking the initiative to make sure he goes on hikes and gets his favorite treats: he won't leave her side when shes in the house. Ive also trusted Amanda to care for my own dog, Cody, who has many chronic health issues. She was extremely patient with him, and careful to administer his medications correctly but also to play with him and make him happy while I was away. Amanda is one of the most responsible people I have ever met and would be an amazing caretaker of your pet, like she was to mine

I have no breed preferences. I would like to know if the dog is friendly with other dogs and if they have been to a dog park before. Any cat breed is fine, obviously I'm partial to kittens because who isn't.
A typical day
I love walks on wooded trails (but only if your pet gets tick meds!) and in local parks. I enjoy playing fetch, teaching tricks, and giving a good belly rub.

I have school obligations but they are on my own time and schedule, so I'm around most times on weekdays and weekends. Very flexible in terms of when I can drop by to care for your pets.
