Belly Rubs and Peace of Mind

Pet care experience

A bit about us: Though my husband, Scott, helps out at home. I (Amanda) manages Rover bookings and provides services outside the home. Safety of all parties is top notch to me so background checks were completed for myself and my spouse, for your comfort! This is a hobby of mine that I enjoy because of my deep love of animals. I have been with Rover since 2017. We are both combat veterans who served in the Army and dog lovers. I am now a homemaker while Scott is finishing up his Army career at Ft. Moore. I received a B.S. from Middle Tennessee State in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Our 12 year old son has grown up around dogs of all sizes and breeds. Our youngest child is 4 and was taught from earlier on how to approach and treat animals gently. They have both been taught to be considerate of mutual safety and respect. In summary, we are dependable, use smart judgment, and we will make sure to give your pups the highest level of personalized attention and love! About our pups: In the last few years we have taken notice that our pups do best with same size and much larger dogs. We allowed our children to name the dogs. Result: They were each named after the Trolls movie characters.

Amanda was incredible. she came and checked on the dogs multiple times, even when she was scheduled to so they weren’t waiting too long to go out again. our dogs loved her and we will definitely use her again

Amanda has been doing drop-in visits at my house for nearly a year, and I couldn't ask for a better sitter. My three dogs adore her, and she always goes above and beyond: from picking up poop in the yard, to taking packages in, Amanda has been extremely helpful. Since she's going to take time off here pretty soon, unfortunately for us, Amanda even introduced me to her friend and replacement and did the first couple visits with her. I greatly appreciated the smooth transition which saved me a lot of time and didn't require any effort from my side such as looking for a new and competent sitter.

Information Amanda & Scott D. would like to know about your pet

I prefer to meet my clients ahead of time (free of charge) to go over care details, as I find that it sets the stage for how well the stay will go. I maintain constant, open, and timely communication with my clients and will ask about routines and habits you want enforced. I only work within a few miles of my home to ensure I can maximize my time with those in my care. Let me know If they have any bladder concerns, so they can be diapered or kenneled. I prefer that owners leave a used blanket/ towel/ sweater for their pet to smell in their sleeping area. If there are any habits or routines fur-parents need help reinforcing (i.e., changing sleeping arrangements, jumping, biting), let me know so I can help keep them on track! I have worked with dogs who have had allergies, seizures, and all the way to last stages of life and I'm completely comfortable caring for these babies. I just ask parents to maintain open communication in case I have a question.

A typical day

I live in a dog-friendly neighborhood with sidewalks and plenty of room to explore. Our home is open floored with wood throughout. Our home sits on an acre and we have a large fenced in backyard, plenty of room inside and out.
