Pet care experience
I live in a twin in the Blue Bell Hill area of Germantown. My dog, Luca, is a GSD-mix rescue and loves to meet and socialize with other dogs. I also have 2 dog-friendly cats. We have a fenced in backyard for Luca and visiting dogs to play in, and there is literally a dog bed in every room for canine lounging. Your dog(s) will be loved and cared for throughout their stay and will become part of the family while they're with us. I do work during the day. Luca and the cats have the run of the house while I'm out, and your dog will as well, unless you prefer otherwise. I am familiar with crating and can accommodate that if you bring a crate along. About this sitter: I'm a high school English teacher and pet lover. I share my home with 1 dog and 2 cats, all of whom are accustomed to visits from new pets. We'd be happy to host your canine companion while you're away!

Amanda was responsive and flexible, and took great care of Ginger! The pictures she sent were a lot of fun to receive, and reassuring to see how relaxed and at ease Ginger was. I will definitely book with Amanda again!
Amanda is great!! I felt very safe leaving my dog with her. She was knowledgeable about the medication my dog needed, and I really appreciate that Amanda enforced the rules that my dog tries to forget (i.e. no jumping up on people). She has a great yard for animals, and her house is cozy with several dog beds that my dog enjoyed. I highly recommend her.
It was a good experience. She was attentive to Delilah's needs. Easy to work with. We really appreciated her watching Delilah over Christmas!
Teddy enjoyed his stay and Amanda is a great sitter!!

No breed preferences, but I do have 2 cats, so any guests will need to be cat-friendly as well. During the week, my pets are home alone for up to 10 hours.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks I generally provide free time in the backyard while I'm reading on the porch. Your dog's sleeping arrangement There are a variety of dog beds spaced throughout my apartment. Sleeping on furniture is fine with me, too, if it's fine with you. Time I'll spend with your dog I teach during the day, but am usually home late afternoons and evenings. My pets are home alone from about 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.

Why I love dog sitting I've always loved dogs, and all animals, really. My sweet Fynn was a rescue dog and we had 8 lovely years together. Luca joined the family in October 2020.
