Hi! I'm Amanda, and I have been around dogs and animals of all sizes my whole life. In addition to taking care of my dogs growing up, I have cared for horses for over 15 years, and have a horse named Mack. Now I have my own rescue pup, Jane, who is the sweetest girl, but like a lot of rescues, has her own quirks and anxieties. She has taught me so much about helping our pets be their happiest, healthiest selves, and I hope to do the same for your pup! With me your pup will get to be a pup, sniffing all the sniffs, playing like crazy, but always with an understanding of their limits, making sure they are safe and happy, just like I would want for Jane!

Amanda is incredible! We have two dogs who have a variety of needs, with one being very nervous around new people. Amanda came to meet our entire family prior to doing a house sitting with our pups, and we all felt like we had known her forever from the moment she stepped onto our property - she is so kind, friendly, and loving with our pups! We knew our dogs were in excellent care during our time away. She sent photos and updates and was very communicative. We feel very lucky to have connected with her through Rover and look forward to having Amanda watch our pups more often!
Amanda has been the absolute best and most patient caregiver a pet parent could want. We have a very fearful rescue dog who is extremely shy and skiddish with most people and new situations. Amanda has been doing drop-ins for about 2 months now to build up a relationship with our timid pup (which in itself has helped her confidence with other people tremendously!), she has been very respectful of our dog's pace and is very good at reading our dog's body language and non-audible cues. Her demeanor is very calm and non-threatening to our dog and she has been super reliable - we're so lucky we found Amanda!
Excellent with our reactive dog. Great communicator. Left house spotless.

Availability
I teach college courses during the school year, and do freelance work over the summer months. My schedule is very flexible and doesn't require many long hours away from the home, so I am able to be there for your pup!
