Pet care experience
I have been pet sitting since I was in high school! Friends and family have always trusted me with their beloved dogs & cats while they were away. I love spending engagement time with dogs and teaching them a trick or two, hanging out with couch potato dogs, or going on walks with more active pups!

Amanda has taken care of our dog and cats now several times and has done an exceptional job! The level of care she provides is top notch, and our pets are happy to see her on every visit. Our animals are pretty high maintenance and yes a little spoiled, and Amanda has endulged all of the nuances required for their care. Amanda has house sat as well for us and has been amazing! The house is cleaner when we return than when we leave it and all of our instructions are followed to the "T." I couldn't recommend someone more than Amanda and we will continue to use her services.

Any type of quirks or behaviors that your furry friend(s) may have are great to know ahead of time! Whether it be a naughty behavior you are working on fixing, something cute that they do, the commands & tricks they know, or your preferred leash-walking style/side, I want to stay in the know so I can better care for your pet while you are away!
A typical day
I enjoy going for runs and hiking and love having company during these activities so taking a client's dog along would be awesome. Of course, not all dogs are perfect for these types of activities so play time and mental stimulation & exercise are other alternatives.

Availability
I absolutely Love dogs & cats, and pet sitting in general. I am knowledgeable about different breeds and am able to adjust my pet sitting style to their needs. Please Note: I have a full time job in NW Portland working Sun-Thurs, so I only accept weekday sits with dogs who have access to a yard or who are okay being alone for 7 hours during my shift.
