I believe dogs are people too!
Pet care experience
Hello there! I'm Amanda. I am an actor and musician in the Queen Village neighborhood and a lover of all animals, but dogs take the cake. I grew up with a cocker spaniel named Abbey for ten joy-filled years, and I've been taking care of friends' and relatives' pets for just as long- from small terriers to large retrievers and labs. Every dog has their own unique personality, and I believe in taking the necessary time to form a trusting friendship that's needed to help them feel safe and secure. I couldn't be more thrilled to have the opportunity to take care of your beloved canine companion, and I am available for walks (and fetch and tug-of-war sessions) and visits on weekday mornings until 11am and afternoons after 3pm, as well as flexible weekend hours starting this July.
Reviews
Amanda is the ultimate animal lover. She will stop dead in her tracks while walking to pet a dog. She is the happiest version of herself when she's around animals. You couldn't ask for a more nurturing and caring person.
Amanda is the first person our friends think of when they need a pet sitter or walker. She will spend hours patiently forming relationships with the animals of her friends. Case and point: she was recently asked to care for her friend’s shy and lonely cat for a few days, and she stayed in the home for three hours, ensuring the cat warmed up to her presence and could shake off the anxiety of being alone in its own time. Amanda let the cat warm up to her before she offered head scratches and such. This kind of dedication can be seen in all of her initial meetings with animal family members. Amanda is punctual and respectful of other people’s time and commitments. She is responsible and thorough when asked to perform a service. She brings wit, humor, warmth, and compassion to all conversations with humans and animals alike. She deescalates high energy situations with ease, empathy, efficiency, and diligence, making her a sought after collaborative artist and theatre administrator in Philadelphia. She is committed to ensuring all people and animals know they are worthy of her time and attention. She is an active and patient listener to the body language of animals. Amanda is the real deal when it comes to pet care, and I am so excited for you to find a place for her in your dog’s daily life, for your peace of mind and for your dog’s wellbeing and daily happiness.
I don't know if I've ever met someone who loved animals, and especially dogs, as much as Amanda. A naturally caring person, she has the tempered patience to care for canines of all shapes, sizes, and breeds. If I had a dog, Amanda is the first person I would ask to look after it.

Information Amanda R. would like to know about your pet
Before booking, I'd love to know where you're located, and little bit about your dog's temperament! What should I know about them so I can make them feel comfortable upon our first introduction? How do they interact with other dogs on the sidewalk? I believe every pooch is the best pooch, but I am particularly fond of spaniels, retrievers, bulldogs, and Bernese Mountain dogs!
A typical day
I enjoy walking all around Washington Square, and I will gladly explore other parks and neighborhoods that may be closer to your home.
