Hi! My husband Mitch and I live with our 10 year old Malti-poo Bentley in a great neighborhood in Roxborough. We have a large fenced in yard but are also close to Valley Green and other great parks that we frequent often. Having such a great backyard enables our dog and yours to be able to go outside and play pretty much whenever they want! We have both grown up with dogs our entire lives and love them so much we now devote much of our time to a local dog rescue. We do not have foster dogs while we dogsit for other pups though. We only choose to have them when we know we won't have another visitor staying with us during that time. I actually started dogsitting professionally because I have watched so many dogs in my lifetime, and so many of my families that adopted my fosters always ask if they can bring their pups back to have us watch them as needed. Plus, Bentley loves other dogs and having company so we would love to have your fur baby come stay with us for a mini vacay too! Also, keep in mind that someone is usually always home at our house, so your dog will have constant love and attention while in our care :)

Amanda is, by far, the #1 dogsitter on rover and the only one we trust with our dog! She sends videos and pictures daily, constantly checks in to make you feel comfortable, and you can tell she absolutely loves animals. We have used her for long (2+ week) stays while we were out of the county and also for short stays while we have parties and I would recommend her to anyone. P.S. Her dog Bentley is so loving and cute and our dog loves going to hang with his buddy!
Wally absolutely loves staying with Amanda and Mitch! Their dog Bentley is so good with Wally and the two dogs are absolutely inseparable when we come to pick him up. Amanda has a very inviting home and a wonderful enclosed yard where the dogs play. We continue to have Amanda and her family watch Wally and recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable sitter on rover.
Amanda was an amazing dog sitter. I left my puppy with her for almost a week and he came back happy and very well cared for. Amanda and her husband seemed to be naturals with dogs and I would recommend her highly to all!
I was extremely nervous to board Maverick as it was his first time and he is still a puppy (aka....can be quite the handful). Amanda listened to my concerns and assured me that it was not a problem and that they were excited to have him! Mav requires a lot of supervision still so boarding him with Amanda who works from home was an amazing option for us. When I went to pick him up, he was hanging out on the porch with another puppy Amanda was watching. I could tell he had a fun stay as he slept like a rock all day and night! Thank you Amanda for taking care of Mav -- I know how much work he is!

We are usually always home to play with your dog, but if not I can easily crate your dog if they prefer, or they can hang with my dog Bentley for company during the day while we are gone! We don't love to leave Bentley alone, so really are more homebodies overall!

We don't have any preference on breeds as we love all dogs but because Bentley is only 18 lbs, pups on the smaller size (that get along well with other dogs) may be a better fit for our family. We also happily take the young pups too...we have a lot of experience fostering rescue puppies and are happy to take your little one even if they are not house broken yet and are still really young and learning. We may even send them home knowing a new trick or two! :) Please also keep in mind that we are really flexible and would be happy to customize any trip to better suit your family! Everyone has different needs so please feel free to contact me to figure out what would be best for you and your dog!
A typical day
We are a really active family and love to spend as much time outdoors as we can. Bentley would love to have a friend accompany us on our walks together, especially at his favorite spot down Valley Green. We also sit outside in our backyard alot, but when we aren't outside, we also thoroughly enjoy being couch potatoes and laying on the couch cuddling with our dog - so your dog will really get the best of both worlds with us! We are also really flexible and have a lot of experience with rescue dogs so we are happy to work with you and your pup on any special instructions you may have. Our home is their home away from home while you are gone and we are happy to make them as comfortable as we can while they are with us.

I currently work part-time so someone is usually always home with your dog. If my husband isn't home, the dogs are usually only alone for a few hours. We can discuss according to our schedule the week you are looking for help!
