Pet care experience
My husband and I are attorneys who love pets of all shapes and sizes! I have been pet sitting for more than 15 years, during which time I developed a wide breadth of expierence caring for all types of animals (chickens, ducks, horses, cows, goats, reptiles, amphibians, fresh and salt water fish, rats, guinea pigs, etc). I have also been fostering animals off and on for years with a special emphasis on elderly, sick, or disabled animals. For example, I have cared for dogs who were blind, deaf, incline-dependent, without teeth, elderly, and post-surgery and cats who needed oral medication, shots, and subcutaneous fluids. I am extremely comfortable administering any form of medication or unique care needs your pet may have!

Zuko got to stay with another pup on this visit and he just had a blast! It’s not often he gets to play with a dog who has even more energy than him and it was so good I’d love to set up another puppy play date sometime, or maybe on a recurring basis :)
Attentive, capable, understanding and accepting of my dysregulated trio of pets. She adeptly handled three different dietary and medical needs and wasn’t bothered by some nighttime yowling. She was able to locate and befriend my hidingest kitty and of course my dog adores her.
Amanda took really great care of our dog! He is a puppy and this was his first experience being pup-sat and Amanda took great care to get to know him and us beforehand so he would be comfortable staying at her house for a day. He can’t tell me with words that he had a good day but the tail wags speak for themselves! Thank you Amanda, we look forward to working with you again in the future!
I left my 11 year old heeler, Trooper, with Amanda for a long weekend. I was a little worried because Trooper's never been boarded before and had to go solo without her two dog buddies. Trooper did great! She got totally spoiled and even slept on the couch with Amanda. Trooper has arthritis so Amanda had to help her up. She played ball, begged for treats/food, and made herself at home. In fact when I went to pick her up Trooper went and sat by Amanda. I'd highly recommend Amanda if you need a safe place for your dog to stay.

I work entirely from home with an extremely flexible schedule, so I can remain with your pet for the entire day, either giving belly rubs, going on walks, playing, giving baths, or simply cuddling. If staying at my house, I have tons of toys, beds, treats, etc so you don't have to carry everything back and forth. If staying at your house, I am happy to do routine home-care such as checking the mail and watering plants. My husband works from the office, but he may accompany us on night time walks and late-night snuggles. Please let me know in advance if you do not want him visiting your home.

Information Amanda R. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any special needs, such as medication, or behaviors (for example, will nip at someone if their ears are touched) at least 48 hours ahead of time. Additionally, I currently have two cats (both fixed) in the home, both get along great with other cats and dogs. However, for their safety, please let me know if your pet doesn't do well with cats (or has never met a cat) and I will keep my cats on a separate floor from your pet.
A typical day
There are three parks and an elementary school within walking distance from my house. I will gladly take dogs to the dog park, for car rides, doggy play dates, or any other place they may like to visit! I have a large, fenced in back yard and a separate designated cat patio area.

Availability
Over the years, I have learned that spending time with animals is the best way to stay sane while trying to juggle work. I work from home full time so I will be with your pet all day. Also, my schedule is extremely flexible so I can easily take your pet to any groomer or vet appointments while you are away.
