Pet care experience
I have been dog sitting since my freshman year of college. I used word of mouth but now that rover exists I figured I would give it a shot! I love dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds! Not scared of any breeds. I am montessori trained for babies so I usually use the same gentle disciplinary approach with dogs and never raise my voice with them. Dogs are the best, the more in my life the better!

Amanda is absolutely amazing as a caretaker of animals. She pet sat my dogs for years and they loved going to her place because she took such good care of them. They would go for walks and she would send me updates of them living their best life with her. I would highly recommend and trust her as a caretaker.
There is no one else I can think of that is a better person for this position than Amanda. She is responsible, knowledgeable about dogs, and an extremely caring and loving pet owner. She has personally taken care of my dogs and do not hesitate to recommend her wholeheartedly.
Amanda did a fantastic job watching my baby girl Ariel! Although she is a pitbull; she’s a scaredy cat at heart - especially of fireworks and thunder. Amanda watched Ari while I was away and sent me photos videos etc of how well behave Ariel was being which made my heart absolutely melt! I finally felt like I could go on vacation without being a bad momma to my dog. Amanda is AMAZING with dogs, keeping them happy, attentive, and putting her clients needs first. She truly understands dogs which is so rare compared to so many other sitters I’ve tried. Thanks Amanda !!!

First, the dogs’ favorite things to do! Then, temperment with other people/kids/dogs and if there’s anything the owner knows causes anxiety with their dog. I have a senior shelter pup so I am able to be very patient with anxious behavior.
A typical day
I am up for a run or leisurely walk with your pup! I can go to your dogs favorite spots, or explore new places! I’ll play with your dog and their favorite toys and I’m not afraid to get down and dirty while playing!

Availability
I work from home so I can play or walk dogs on lunch breaks during the week or before or after work. Weekends are usually flexible.
