Pet care experience
I grew up around animals and dogs my whole life. I was always the go to sitter in the neighborhood. I used to dog sit on Rover back in college, and decided to start dog sitting again because I truly love being around animals, although I don’t have any of my own. My parents have two labs and a mutt that I rescued years ago (who’s now part of their pack) and I visit them often. I’m used to dealing with puppies and love to go on walks, but also don’t mind a couch potato.

Amanda has a love for dogs much bigger than your average dog person. She is a responsible woman in all aspects of her life and when it comes to caring for animals it really shows. I highly recommend Amanda to anyone who is looking for a dependable and passionate pal for your pup!
Amanda LOVES dogs. She grew up living with Labador Retrievers. She rescued “Peanut” from a park. Peanut is a little wirely mutt that now lives with to yellow labs. Nobody could be a more loving dog caregiver??
I have known Amanda for 2 years now, and ever since I met her she’s expressed her love for dogs. She really gets along with all types of dogs! I was nervous to bring her around my beagle because she is a relatively shy dog, but my dog opened right up to her and they were playing in no time!

My apartment complex has a dog park and my friend takes her dog there all the time and she loves it! I don’t have a crate so if your dog needs one when I’m gone you’ll have to bring it.

I don't have any breed preferences but I would appreciate being notified if he/she is potty trained, if they like to chew up things like shoes, socks and the like and also if they are active dogs or not so I can know if they would enjoy going on a walk or a run!
A typical day
We would have frequent potty breaks to get us both out of the apartment. The dog park usually has lots of friendly pups in the mornings and evenings. They can expect lots of cuddles and frequent playing around!

Availability
I work from home, so I have a lot of opportunities for a quick walk or lots of potty breaks! On the weekends I like to go for longer walks and like to be outside if the weather is nice.
