Pet care experience
I am a special education teacher in the Bronx; I work with children who have emotional and behavioral difficulties. I decided to combine my love for children and dogs by fundraising at my school and getting the students involved as much as possible. We donate to local shelters - we tend to focus on animals who display behavior problems due to a lack of love, patience, and understanding. I have fostered and rescued over 10 dogs in the past several years. I also volunteer at local shelters. Some of the experience I have is dog walking at the shelters, walking my own foster dogs, and being a constant companion. I use my skills of understanding children to help me to understand dogs. I have fostered seniors, deaf dogs, hyper dogs, timid dogs, and medically fragile dogs. No two dogs are the same and should not be treated as such. ALL MONEY EARNED WILL BE DONATED!

I HIGHLY recommend Amanda as a dog sitter/walker! She has a wonderful rapport with animals, is very knowledgeable and most importantly is kind and loving towards them. I trust her implicitly with my own fur baby, who she has been caring for since our dog was 8 weeks old. I have relied on Amanda numerous times for advice on our pup as well as having her walk and care for her when I was unable to. Amanda is always reliable and will show your dog so much love!! Any pup is lucky to have her to take care of them.
Amanda has been my best friend and co-worker for eight years! She has always been involved in caring for dogs, whether it be her own, a friends pet or shelter animals. Amanda organized and ran two fundraisers at our school raising thousands of dollars for shelter animals (and is in the process of planning a third)! She loves spending time with dogs and is currently volunteering at several shelters caring for all types of animals. She has taught her own dogs simple commands and even learned several commands in sign language to help a dog she was fostering who was deaf. Amanda would do anything to make a dog feel welcome and she would be a great addition to any dogs daily routine!
Amanda is a wonderful, loving, caring woman. She uses all of her free time to try to better the lives of dogs. She has taken wonderful care of my dog, Bruce, any time I need her to. She always exceeds my expectations. I trust her completely with my most prized possession (Bruce,) and I also trust her in my home if I am not there. Her life goal is to make every dog she crosses paths with better, and trust me, she does! I really admire her dedication and love for dogs.
