Amanda stayed in our home and watched our cats and elderly dog for six days during our recent trip out of town. She was personable and sweet - connecting to our dog and cats equally well - and even offered some helpful tips for our elderly dog's health issues. Amanda also sent us pictures and periodic updates about how things were going - as well as wrote up a detailed report that she left on the counter for ...
Thanks again for taking care of Hudson, especially on fairly short notice. He obviously has a great time and you do a great job of caring for him and our home.
Amanda stayed in our home for eight nights in early December taking care of our dog Hudson, an admittedly spoiled 10 year old lab. This was our first time leaving him with someone who wasn’t family or a close friend and we were anxious since we would be out of the country and out of touch during part of that time. Amanda did an awesome job including overcoming several challenges during the stay beginning ...
Crazy Animal Lady :)
Ever since I was a baby, I was raised with dogs and cats alike, and was taught from a young age to respect them, and how to care for them. I became a hopeless animal lover, constantly begging my parents for every animal I saw. As I grew older, I turned this passion into pet sitting for friends of the family and they never had a single complaint. I spent my middle school through high ...
What Amanda would like to know about your dog
Before accepting a pet sitting offer, I would like to arrange a meet and greet and get to know your animal(s) beforehand. This ensures that both your pet(s) and I are comfortable with each other. I know it would make me uncomfortable if a stranger entered my home, and it would be the same for your animals. I would also like to know about any medical issues your animal may have, including allergies, conditions, etc. I would also like to know if there is any sort of dog aversions your dog may have, that way when I am walking I know whether or not to let other dog owners know not to get too close and it also helps me decide where I would like to take them for a walk (for example, a dog with dog aggression I would not take to an off leash area). As of breed preferences, I am comfortable with both small and large dogs. I grew up with Rottweilers in my household so I do not shy away from misjudged breeds such as rotties, Dobermans, pitbulls, etc. I am also perfectly comfortable with small dogs such as Chihuahuas, Jack Russels, etc.
