Amanda O's Pet Services

Pet care experience

I'm Amanda. Dog mom of two foster failures through the Sullivan Humane Society and Lucky Lab Rescue. After fostering here and there, my husband and I fell in love with Miley (husky/border collie mix) and a year later we fostered, then adopted Baby (chocolate lab mix). After 13 years, we finally added a cat to our family, a 3 year old Tabby cat named Hazel. We have been dog sitting since 2015.

Saying that our experience was amazing doesn’t do it justice. Amanda was great from start to finish and won the hearts of our fur babies! I would highly recommend and we plan to use her for pet sitting in the future!

We have booked Amanda several times and will continue to do so. She makes us feel so comfortable leaving our dog in her care. She is the best!

My dog has more fun at Amanda’s house than at my house! Highly recommend.

Safety, trust & environment

My home has a fenced in backyard with two stories. I only ask that you bring proof that your pets are up to date on all vaccines and are on a flea preventive. We gate our upstairs so most of their stay will be confined to downstairs. We have extra kennels for your preference. Our furniture is covered so they are allowed on our furniture. My husband and I like to walk our dogs or any dogs under our care. Essentially, our home is their home!

Information Amanda O. would like to know about your pet

I typically ask if your dog is allergic to anything (peanut butter), has any medical conditions (seizures) or is afraid of anything i.e., vacuum, fireworks, storms, etc. Vaccines updated and flea preventative a must.

A typical day

We normally take the dogs for a walk to pick up the kids from school when it’s nice out. We are a stone's throw from the B&O trail which we often walk. We have several toys to play with in the backyard and my kids love playing with the dogs in the backyard as well!

Other than being a mom, I'm a full-time Surgical Vet Tech at IndyVet Emergency Animal Hospital. My husband and I like to walk our dogs or any dogs under our care. My husband mostly works from home as a full time real estate broker for Keller Williams. My mother-in-law is semi-retired and also lives with us so there is always someone supervising.
