Vet Tech for hire!

Pet care experience

Growing up, I always knew that I wanted to work with animals. I absolutely loved studying Veterinary Technology at the University of New Hampshire, and after receiving my Associates in Vet Tech, I continued to further my education by completing my Bachelors in Animal Sciences in which I achieved in May, 2023! I have gained significant knowledge of the behavior of dogs and cats, as well as how to properly take care of them. I've learned CPR, first aid, how to administer medications in different routes, and much more. After completing 2 internships at different animal hospitals, I was offered my first official vet tech job in 2020. I currently work as a vet tech at an animal hospital in Falmouth, and I’m working towards my certification to become a certified veterinary technician! I am the first person that my neighbors and family friends contact when they need a pet sitter, in which I have about 10+ years of experience in. I have been working since I was 14 in the restaurant business which has been very helpful in supporting my financial obligations. And now that I have finished school, I am excited to be qualified to do a job that I am very passionate about, working with animals. I look forward to getting to know everyone and hope to make their pups as happy as they make me!

Amanda was excellent! She sent updates about how the pups were doing, had great communication, and left the house clean for when we returned. Thanks Amanda!

Amanda is great. Following the initial meet and greet, we knew Amanda would provide wonderful care. Wendel is so excited to be in her company, and we felt assured our senior pup would be well looked after knowing Amanda’s background as a vet tech. Amanda is now our first choice when Wendel needs a sitter.

Amanda was the best! She took such great care of our Rocky and allowed him to be comfortable in his own home while we were away. The updates and communication were greatly appreciated! We feel so fortunate to have met Amanda and can now go away with piece of mind knowing our pup is in great hands. Highly recommend Amanda if you are looking for pet sitting!

Amanda has taken care of our older dog twice now and each time it has been a great experience. She is attentive to his needs and leaves our house spotless after a multi-day stay! Thank you!
