Pet care experience
I have owned and cared for a myriad of pets my entire life, as my family is composed of Plant City farmers on both sides. I have lived in Orlando for 6 years and have about 5 years of experience watching other peoples pets in the city, including dogs, cats, turtles, snakes, lizards and chickens. I am also comfortable and experienced in medicating pets (oral, topical, anal, and subcutaneous) and caring for geriatric, epileptic, and other special needs animals. I volunteered and fostered sick dogs through Leon County Animal Services (Tallahassee) for 4 years during college, focusing on dogs with heartworms, mange, physical injuries and other treatable ailments. My current pets include Jasmine (12 yo German Shepherd), Bobbie (1 yo DSH cat), and classroom pets: a FWL exotics fish tank, Lucky (bearded dragon), and Shellraiser and Mudrayne (box turtles).

I don't even know where to begin! This was our first time using Rover.com/ We just made a big move from Syracuse, NY to NC so our dog Quinn has been on edge. We needed someone to sit with her in our hotel while we attended the SU/WV game in Orlando. BUT it had to be someone SPECIAL. Let me tell you what...we hit the jackpot with Amanda!!!! She was on time!!! Her personality is second to none. We felt like we knew her for years after only a few minutes. Quinn instantly fell in love and that gave us the peace of mind we needed. Her main focus was exercise (and love of course) which is EXACTLY what Quinn needed. Quinn rolled in something and she even gave Quinn a bath. When Amanda left Quinn just stood at the door whining for her. My only regret is that Amanda doesn't live near us in North Carolina! :) Hire her...your dog will thank you! Thank you Amanda for giving us a wonderful trip to Orlando! We will be back and you will be the first call we make! Happy New Year!!
Amanda has taken care of my 3 dogs, my 4 cats, my freshwater turtle and my small flock of 6 hens while my husband and I hiked the Appalachian trail in June! Not only did she do an amazing job with my dogs, all of which receive medication and special care daily, but she made sure my cats were cared for, one of my cats had a UTI and was isolated in my master bathroom for the first half of our trip, she gave him his medicine until his infection cleared up and then sent me pictures of everyone to let me know how they were all doing when I had cell service. She had no problems taking care of the hens either and she loved having fresh eggs daily! She is very responsible, trustworthy, loving and kind to all kinds of animals and capable of anything!

HOTEL SITTING ALSO AVAILABLE. If you are in town on holiday and staying at a pet-friendly hotel in the airport area, I am happy to hang out with your dog while you explore Orlando!
