I have a great love and respect for dogs and my family has had dogs for my entire life. I have experience taking care of dogs as large as a neighbor's 80 lb. lab mix to as small as my parent's 20 lb dachshund mix, often taking care of multiple dogs at the same time. I believe that the key to successful dog care is to be kind and gentle with the dog while still remaining firm and and in control. All of my family's dogs have been rescues so I understand the behavioral and social issues that can come with that and have experience dealing with those issues. My care routine will obviously be primarily dependent on the owner's instructions since the most important thing is to maintain as much stability as possible for the dog while their owners are away. However, in the past I have typically taken the dogs I have taken care of on 1-2 walks per day and also spend time playing with more energetic dogs or simply sitting with and petting older dogs. I am typically available in the early morning, the afternoon, and later and night as well as all day Fridays and Saturdays. I believe there's no such thing as a bad dog, just a dog that needs more attention and time. I would love to take care of or walk any dog because I love them all!
