Fun and Experienced Pet Care!

Pet care experience

I received my first pet care job when I was 11. I was charged with taking my neighbors German Sheppard, Jack, for his daily walk after school. I absolutely adored Jack and I's walks! Ever since then, I've been the go-to pet sitter for my friends, family and neighbors. A role I am so happy to fill. Over the years I've done long-term pet/house sitting stays, drop in visits, day care and walks. As such, I am well versed with the ins and outs of all care. Additionally, I've got the chance to spend time with a plethora of animals, both old and young, big and small. Some examples are: - Elderly pugs needing daily medication - Heeler puppies needing so many balls thrown - Cats who won't come out from under the bed - Cats who prefer to sleep on your face - Bunch of other animals (ie goats, mice, rabbits, etc) At the moment, I am on the lookout for anyone who needs drop in visits or walks! Open to both recurring and occasional jobs. Thanks for looking at my profile!

Safety, trust & environment

At the moment, I am looking to offer drop in visits and walks. The first step for both would be to meet with you and your pet! Get to know both of you a little more and go over the scope of care you are in need of. For walks I'd ask that we go over how to correctly use your pets harness/collar & leash, chat about and quirks your pet has on walks (ie likes to chase squirrels, afraid of fire hydrants, etc) and go for a test walk together. For drop in visits I'd ask to be shown exactly what you'd like me to do when there. I would also ask you to leave a written list of those duties for reference during the visits. Additionally, before both the first walk and drop in visit, I'd ask that you leave a list of phone numbers to call in case of an emergency.

Information Amanda M. would like to know about your pet

I want to hear about all their quirks; medical, emotional and behavioral. What are they afraid of? Any atypical behavior reported from other sitters? I prefer to stick as closely to their usual food/exercise routine as possible so I would love an overview of the timelines for both.

A typical day

This is section is entirely determined on the type of care you need and your pet's personality! From finding a swimming hole for your water dog, to reading on the couch with your cat on my lap, to 30 min of sniffing in a park; totally up to what your pet likes to do.
