Amanda runs a scam through the Rover company. I reviewed prices and requested her services through the Rover app. After a great meet and greet, I agreed to allow her to board our dog Sasha in her home from Dec 21-Dec 28 (I understood I would be paying more due to the holiday) After I dropped Sasha off I quickly accepted the booking and paid her through the Rover app (I initially was going to pay in cash but though better of it-thank goodness!). I didn’t initially notice the price was drastically more than the prices listed on her profile prior to booking. After I noticed her Holiday pricing has changed (she had increased her prices. I initially thought it was a simple mistake and texted her about it. She vehemently denied changing her prices and blamed Rover saying her profile reflected different pricing and “Thats why I dont go through rover alot, fees and they do not have the same things on both ends. All my clients now go through me and either pay through PayPal or in person. Now all my rover clients go through me ?. Thanks Amanda!” At that point I decided to conclude the conversation and work with Rover to get a refund. I screenshot the entire conversation thread and also researched Rover policies regarding sitters, pricing, and refund. I just looked at your profile. The prices you texted on Thursday are now reflected. However, since I booked when your profile reflected a Holiday rate of $30 per night ($30 x 9 nights=$270). I need a refund of $90. As you know, I was charged the unlisted holiday price of $40, totaling $360) Would you like to refund me directly or should I work through Rover admin support?
