My home has always been filled with love and animals. I have cared for cats, dogs, rabbits and iguanas. My experience specifically with dogs has been around caring for our family dog (including administering oral medication) and dog walking for friends and family. I'm a volunteer with a local pet rescue organization (CLAWS) and have gained valuable skills and resources through my experience with them. I have a background in Psychology *for humans ;) and have found it's important to be aware of the complexity of behavior in all living creatures. I am first and foremost patient, as well as observant to animals' needs. I believe in earning trust and I'm also vigilant to signs that may indicate distress. Communication is paramount, but unfortunately easily overlooked with our pets. I make it my job to not only take care of your pet's physical needs, but emotional as well.
