Hi!! My name is Amanda and I have had 7+ years caring for dogs with experience in boarding, animal care tech, and training. I am a huge animal lover and advocate for shelters. I am currently an animal care tech at Gateway Pet Guardians and a foster parent for them where I help dogs that have been rescued find their furever homes. I am a great handler of many types of dogs and even dogs with special little quirks.

We adopted our dog from a rescue in November of 2019 after she'd been in that particular shelter for over 2 years. When we started thinking about a vacation that following spring, I worried about who would watch her and also follow the routine she developed quickly and made her feel most comfortable. Staying in a daycare/boarding facility or a home with any other pets was out of the question as she does not get along with other animals. Amanda was the only one I felt comfortable with to not only care for our dog but also stay at our house. She also had to deal with me constantly checking to make sure my girl was doing ok and sent us pictures to make us feel at ease. I was so anxious to go and if not for Amanda's great care and communication, I'm sure I'd have been miserable with worry the entire vacation. It was obvious that Amanda loved our dog just as much as we did, and our dog loved her right back. I will forever be planning my vacations around Amanda's availability to stay with my girl!
Amanda watched my dog for a week while my girlfriend and I were in Tennessee. She was amazing!! She texted me every day to give me an update and even sent pictures of my boy so i could see how much fun he was having! I would 100% recommend Amanda. I will always go to her!
Exceeded my expectations!
Amanda has been incredible with our dogs and we are so happy to have found her. We have a senior dog who needs extra care and medication and Amanda has handled it beautifully. She is responsible and truly loves your pet like they are her own. Highly recommend!

I do not have a fenced in yard, but I have plenty of areas to walk your pet to use the bathroom like my yard and a near by park called McNair in St. Charles, MO. I have one dog, Bailer, who loves having friends over! I currently live in St. Charles, MO in a three bedroom, two bath house located on a pretty quiet street. A typical day
I love taking dogs on walks to a near by park or neighborhoods to get some fun exercise! I have also taken other dogs on hikes, kayak rides, outdoor restaurants, and dog parks as long as the owner is okay with it!

Availability
My schedule consists of working 8 hour shifts Tuesday - Friday and a 4 hour shift on Saturday at Gateway Pet Guardians in East St. Louis. I am originally from Jerseyville, IL so I watch dogs anywhere from the there to the surrounding areas of St. Charles, MO and anywhere in between!
