Hi! My name is Amanda! Like many on Rover, I have spent my entire life with animals. I have vast experience with puppies/kittens, animals with physical disabilities, rescue animals, as well as those who maintain regular medication regimens due to long term illness. I am able to administer injectable medication upon request and guidance from the parent upon a meet & greet. I am also extremely open to sitting and caring for other pets: rodents, ferrets, iguanas, etc. The only exclusion is live feeding. I am a homebody. I would rather be home, snuggled up with animals than be out. I am rarely away from home for more than 2 hours at a time. About my home: My home is conveniently located a few minutes east west of 75/85/20 interchange, and 10 minutes north of the airport. I currently board and have day care in my home, which is approximately 1400 sq ft and 1/2 acre fenced in back yard (please see my pictures for photos of my yard). PHOTOS DO NOT DO MY YARD JUSTICE & I am also a HORRIBLE landscape photographer. House and yard are free reign for all guests, at all times. If your fur child needs a little quiet space or alone time, I have a large, spare bedroom just for furry guests with a TV, queen bed and plenty of floor space for dog beds/crates. We have plenty of rope toys, tennis balls, blankets, food/water bowls, treats, etc. We also have two crates for guests (medium/XL) if you do not want to bring yours! If you prefer your pup to not be allowed on the bed or furniture, please let me know so we can refrain from creating any bad habits during the stay. I do offer transportation services at no cost. About me: First and foremost, I am a dog lover and animal enthusiast. I will always care for your pups as if they are my own. I understand the NEED for your pets to maintain their daily schedule and be surrounded by love and care! Meet my pets: I have 3 dogs, ranging in breed, age and size. ALL of them are extremely friendly, welcoming and are quite used to having other pup stay in our home. If you are interested in house sitting, my dogs do not travel with me and their dad will be at home with them! • Cora: 5 yrs old, loves to lay in her bed and is a frequent napper • Mamaw: 6 yrs old, loves to make new friends • Claude: 3 yrs old, love to party and play About my yard: My back yard spread 1/2 acre and is completely fenced in, iron clad. I check all perimeters of the fence weekly and double check before and after a guests stay. All of my dogs and furry guests, are allowed to stay outside as long as they like, unless there are restrictions (heat sensitivity, etc). The door to the yard, remains open while the dogs are outside so they have constant access to my home. Dogs/guests are never outside unattended.
