When I was 5 years old, my parents brought a golden retriever puppy home, so began my life long love for dogs! I dog sit for friends and family often, as well as frequent play dates. I was told about Rover by a fellow dog lover a couple years ago and thought it would be great to help others in need, while satisfying my general love for being around any and all dogs! I am 33, live in Overland Park with my three fur babies. Charlie is a 8 year old Border Collie/Golden Retriever. I may be biased, but he is the definition of a perfect dog. Charlie's little brother, Willie, is a 1 year old Basset hound/lab mix. I learned about him from a friend at KC Pet Project. He was hit by a car at 4 months and was a very tough little guy recovering from surgery. I adopted him once he was ready to go to his forever home. He has one eye (hence his name haha) and is a very happy, playful puppy, learning the ropes from his big brother! We recently welcomed Izzie, a curious, energetic, loving one year old corgi mix into our family, after an elderly couple realized they couldn't care for her and were going to take her to the pound. Izzie and Willie play together constantly, which allows their older, laid-back brother relief from playtime. They have learned how to tell if another dog wants to play with them or not! :)
