I can't imagine a time in my life when there wasn't a dog or cat in it. Animals are my world! Most recently, I worked for the Asheville Humane Society as an adoption counselor and animal caretaker. I currently still volunteer there. In college, I worked for a large animal hospital during the emergency shift and often assisted in critical care situations. I have vast knowledge of animal medical needs and know warning signs to look out for. I'm very comfortable medicating animals. Personally, I had a dog with every known allergy and a rare autoimmune disorder, so I'm very familiar with food intolerance and environmental allergy care. I've been pet sitting since college (often for clients from the vet hospital I worked in) and love it! I walk my dog 2 miles a day. Activity is key at any age. I love all animals of all ages. No breed discrimination here either - I love everything with a heartbeat and treat them like my own babies.
