Hi there, my name is Amanda and I would love to watch your furry friends! I have been watching dogs, cats, lizards, and more for years and it is truly one of the most fulfilling parts of my life. To me, your companion is not just a job, but a friend. I love getting to know animals unique personalities and providing customized care to each and every one of them. Throughout my years working with animals, and especially dogs, I have come to understand different breeds need different things and I work tirelessly to ensure that their needs are met. I have experience working with dogs at all socialization levels and a growing understanding of dog behaviors. I look forward to setting up a meet and greet with you and your furry friends soon!

Amanda has walked our two dogs - one 11 years and one 9 months - three times and we couldn't be happier with her. Our dogs love her, she sends pics, is very communicative when needed, and makes sure that the older dog gets what she needs and our puppy gets what he needs out of the walk. Amanda is the best!! Our dogs love her and it's week 1! She is really dog centered, energetic, and compassionate. My dogs are quite skittish with new people and they loved her after 5 minutes.

I follow the norms and rules of the home as they are communicated to me. I let animals come to me on their own time and try not to startle them/have unrealistic expectations of their behaviors. When watching dogs overnight, I like to know how to encourage them to eat and what their comforts are so that I can generate a cozy and normal environment for them. I consider privacy to be very important and protect the client's confidences regarding how they live, where they live, and what they own. I am there to ensure that you can be at ease knowing your companion is well taken care of & your home is safe.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, behaviors, toys, foods, or quirks that you want me to know about. I am very honest with my experience and will let you know if I do not think I can provide adequate care for your animal.
A typical day
Walks to new "sniff zones" like along the Willamette River, scavenger hunts with their favorite treats, and usually a lot of streaming and cuddling on the couch (if allowed). I also love to take photos of dogs just living their best lives & send them to the owners as requested/if requested (some folks like to disconnect fully when out of town and I am respectful of that too!)

Availability
I currently have the ability to work remotely and a decent amount of flexibility with my schedule. As long as there is reliable wifi and communication, I am usually able to accommodate the scheduled based needs of pets (even ones with a little separation anxiety).
