Active, experienced, dog trainer :)

Pet care experience

I began caring for my own 3 dogs at 7 years old, was employed at a kennel by 15, and have worked and interned with dogs ever since! I dog train professionally, but still enjoy pet sitting for fun. The truth is, ill never be done learning from the dogs, so the more i meet and interact with, the better trainer i can be. That also means that i am ready to handle any behavior issues your pup may have. Im as drawn to a pup with behavior issues as i am to a pure good dog. They all are special to me. I now use my 3 year old Cane Corso, recently rescued Shih Tzu to help teach dog owners how to build happier and more harmonious relationships with their dogs through my dog training business. I have always loved the problem pups, multiple dogs, seniors, or really anything! :) I love staying busy and meeting a variety of dogs and people. I love pack walks, running with dogs, park visits, and finding new spots to explore with a bunch of pups. Im also down to spend some time just cuddling on the couch with some lower-paced and very lovable doggos.

Amanda is fantastic. She watched our pups and chickens at our home for two nights, and we couldn't have asked for a better outcome. She was so impressive in her interactions with our dogs, who are very reserved with strangers. Her calmness, maturity, and connection with our animals provided us with such peace of mind during our time away. Aside from arriving home to excited but surprisingly calm pups, we weren't sure anyone even stayed at the house; It was clean and tidy, and just the way we left it. Thank you, Amanda, for helping us out in such an appreciated way. We would definitely have you stay with our guys again.

Amanda (Mandy) has done an awesome job helping us with both dog training and pet sitting. Our Old English Sheepdog is reactive - especially toward loud, noisy vehicles and she has dealt with his anxiety issues very effectively. Because of Mandy's professional skills, we are completely comfortable taking a 3-day weekend because we KNOW the care he'll receive is top notch!

Amanda (Mandy) has been working with my dog Raven for some time now. Raven has anxiety which sometimes leads to unwanted behavior. I have seen tremendous improvements with Raven and Mandy is one of the few people I would trust with my dog. When Mandy works with Raven you can see her passion for animals and love for what she does. Danielle W.

Information Amanda H. would like to know about your pet

I love the powerful breeds, was raised on Goldens, have plenty of experience with small dogs... I will literally take (and love!) it all.

A typical day

pack walks, romps in the basement and back yard, a constant flux of dog-loving friends, dog park visits, visiting friends and family (i.e. car rides and change in environment), trips to go hiking in new places, and lots of cuddles! Its my goal to enrich and enjoy the dogs so I meet my pups where they are at, teach and learn from them what I can, and am all about working with a pack, as they are pack animals after all :). Ive even been known to take dogs to class, work, and on other training visits as well.
