Animals are my favorite :)

Pet care experience

I've been around animals my entire life. I began volunteering at humane societies when I was around 12 years old. I am medically trained and good in an emergency. I've never met a pet I didn't love. I've cared for senior animals and pets with behavioral and medical issues. I have experience with both cats and dogs and will care for yours as if they were my own 🥰

Amanda did an awesome job! We got live updates everyday. I could tell that my dog absolutely loved it there. Will use again for sure.

Amanda takes such good care of our Pretzel and sends the best updates throughout his stay. This time I don’t think he wanted to come back home :) it’s much appreciated and we will be back.

Amanda did a great job watching Miko. We were updated periodically with pictures and videos that assured us that he was in good hands. He adapted well to being in Amanda’s home and we will plan to use her services again.

Safety, trust & environment

I live on a small acreage just outside of town with doggy door access to the fenced-in back yard so the dogs are able to go potty at any time. The resident pet is a Belgian Malinois who gets along well with most other animals and loves to play. I am patient and willing to let the anxious pets lead the interaction. I always feed pets separately so there is no chance of food aggression or of one eating another's food. I like to communicate throughout your pet's visit with me and keep you updated on everything that's going on.

Information Amanda H. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your pet has any special needs or preferences. I am experienced in caring for many different issues and am very accommodating and patient. I have experience giving medications and insulin injections if needed. I like to do anything I can to make your pet feel more at home and you more at ease, so feel free to ask any questions and let me know what I can do!

A typical day

We'll play games, go for walks, nap, and enjoy ourselves. I like using puzzle toys and mental simulation along with physical exercise to tire out the pets with excessive energy.
