I am a frequent volunteer at my local animal shelter, having logged 600+ hours. Some of the things I do at the shelter includes walking, playing with ,and socializing a variety of dogs. More recently I have been helping with training and every now and again I'll help administer medication/ preventatives. In my four years at the shelter, I've worked with every size and age ranging from 8 weeks- 10+ years. I've worked with dogs who have unlimited amounts of energy, dogs that are shy/nervous around people, dogs that try biting the leash on walks, dogs who are extremely reactive to other dogs, dogs that have been abused/mistreated, deaf dogs, blind dogs, and elderly dogs. I'm also available for cat sitting. I've spent time with the cats at the animal shelter in the past. I also had a cat of my own for 3 years. His name was Fred and he was 15 years old. Fred received intravenous fluid almost daily from home so I am comfortable with giving fluids or medications. I've worked with every age group of cats from kitten to senior. I'm available all day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and am able to provide drop in visits/ walks in the early morning (before 7am) and evening (after 5:30pm) Thursday- Monday.
