Pet care experience
Ever since I was born my family has always had a dog in the house, so I learned from a young age how to not only take care of dogs but how to love and engage with them as well. Growing up I had to take care of many different dogs while babysitting, as I was a babysitter for various families with pets throughout my teen years. Now that I have been working in the pet care industry for two and half years, I ensure that I can be trusted with making sure your pets are safe, happy, and in the best care under my supervision. I'm very comfortable with the pet care responsibilities such as walking/letting out dogs, cleaning litter boxes, feeding pets on a schedule, brushing/grooming pets, administering pills/medication, comforting anxious animals, etc. I have had experience with both senior and special needs dogs with limited mobility, specific medication requirements, territorial issues, and more, and have been able to handle any obstacle without issue. I've also dealt with the other side of the pendulum in watching puppies with lots of playful and mischievous energy and I always have a great time! Additionally, I have come to be quite a cat lover over the years and now have many cat sitting jobs under my belt that I have really enjoyed. Overall, I’m a animal lover who wants the best for all pets, and I’d love to watch your furry friends :)

Amanda was amazing, a true lifesaver. We were in town for our wedding and wanted our dog Graham to participate in the welcome events, but he wasn't permitted to attend the ceremony venue. A couple of days before, Amanda came by to meet Graham and get to know him and his routines. She arrived on our big day while we were getting ready, so that Graham wouldn't feel abandoned once we had to leave. She took great care of him and kept him company for hours, and for that we're extremely grateful. We knew he was in excellent hands! If we lived in the area, we'd work with Amanda all of the time. Thank you again.
I had Amanda watch our two pups! We are very choosy who sits for our two boys. We interviewed a few people and chose Amanda. I have to admit, this is the first time I went away and didn’t worry about the boys. I felt so comfortable having Amanda caring for them. Amanda is very responsible and conscientious. Our house was just the way we left it and our boys well taken care of… I will definitely utilize Amanda every time we need a sitter! THANK YOU AMANDA!!!

In your home, I will help make your dog feel as comfortable as possible and do whatever they need to ease any anxiety they may have while you are not around. I love house sitting as I feel it is so beneficial for the dog to stay in a familiar environment while their owner is not around. I can merge my schedule with your pet's typical routine, and together we will have a great time!
Information Amanda F. would like to know about your pet
I always require setting up a meet and greet with you and your pet so it can become comfortable with me before we are left alone together! Before sitting a pet I would like to know, alongside their physical traits (height, weight, breed, and age) what their overall personality is like. I need to know what the dog is used to in terms of a daily routine or a typical walk. I'd want to know their likes and dislikes and if they have any quirks or unique behaviors that I might not otherwise be expecting. I'd like to know if they are more aggressive, outgoing, shy, lazy, cuddly, or anything in between! I'd also like to know if there are certain places I should or shouldn't take them (especially if I am unfamiliar with the area), how well they get along with other dogs/kids/animals in general, and what commands or calls work best for them. I don't have any breed preferences either, I love all dogs the same! I have only had one experience of being attacked while working, so it is imperative you share any aggressive history as me as that was quite a scary experience, but aggressiveness is not a deal breaker and something I have definitely been able to work with!
A typical day
The pets I take care of on walks, check-ins, and overnight stays in the owner's home will have the best time with me! I'm willing to go anywhere on a walk, especially if I'm unfamiliar with the area as it will give me an opportunity to explore a new place. I'm also willing to do almost anything when it comes to activities/entertainment! If your pet is okay in the car we could definitely go on fun drives either just to enjoy a scenic view or to go to a fun location like a beach, a new park, or the pet store (and maybe we can even meet up with a friend or family member of mine!). If your pet isn't okay in the car, I know we'll definitely be able to find plenty of fun activities to do at home. We can play with toys, continue any training you've been working on, have a bath/spa day, or even just cuddle together and watch TV. I'll make sure I do whatever I can to make sure your pet has the best time ever under my watch.

Availability
As I have been on Rover for over a year now, my schedule has slowly filled up with many weekday regulars during the day! Mon-Fri I am usually booked up from 11am to 1pm, and am usually completely free after 2pm throughout the week (June being the exception as I am working extra hours at my dance studio job in preparation for our recital). This schedule is the same almost every week. My Fridays and Saturdays are fairly available though I will not take any walks/drop-in bookings after 4pm on those days, and on Sundays I will usually not take any bookings (except house sitting) as I am trying to let myself have one day off during the week. If you have a question or concern about my availability don't be afraid to reach out, I'd be happy to clear things up or possibly make adjustments in my schedule to take care of your furry friends!
