I have two years of animal shelter volunteer experience working with cats and dogs of various sizes and temperaments. This included feeding, walking, cleaning and enrichment. I grew up with three dogs... a lab, toy poodle and chihuahua which meant dog walking and feeding them according to their specific diets. The two smaller dogs were house-trained and used wee-wee pads. Now I have two cats at home. One is 7 and the other is 16. My 16 year-old is a special one -- he's been labeled "attack kitty" at the vet which is his second home since he has asthma, cystitis and kidney disease. It's been a real experience! I'm well-versed in caring for special needs animals, whether it's physical, emotional or both. Animals are my life and I'm proud to work in the animal welfare field.
