Pet care experience
I’ve had animals of many different types my whole life, but I also have extensive experience interacting with animals in a work setting. I regularly volunteered at an animal shelter for a couple years, and also worked as a pet-sitter and dog-walker for a few months. I recently spent some time interning at a veterinary hospital and boarding facility as well. I currently have no pets, so being able to hang out with others pets is always a highlight of my day. Given proper instructions, I am more than capable of administering medications.

Amanda was great! She gave special attention to my blind and deaf dog as I requested, sent pictures. The house was just as I left it when I got home from my trip. I would definitely use Amanda again.
Diego (my Shiba Inu) absolutely loves her! Amanda is such a caring and patient, animal lover. She has previous experience pet sitting and I request her every time! She walks and feeds Diego when I’m out of town or simply cannot due to work. Best pet sitter in Sacramento! On the Plus side, she’s a Pre-Vet student from UCDavis. So I’m very comfortable with her administering his anxiety meds. We love Amanda and she really loves Diego as he was her own.
Amanda has been a great pet sitter for me for a few years. My dog Chiquita instantly loved Amanda. My dog does not typically trust people very easily but always loves seeing Amanda and remembers her even after it has been a long while since she has pet sat her. I would trust Amanda with anyone's pet and know she would take the greatest care of any animal. She has a great love for animals and will treat any dog as her own.

Availability
I recently got a part-time weekend position at VIP Pet Care as a Clinic Assistant. VIP Pet Care holds preventative pet care clinics at multiple pet supply shops in the area and allows for lower cost vaccinations, microchipping and other services. My schedule is currently wide open on the week days. I am open to both short-term and long-term schedules.
