Pet care experience
I have grown up will all kinds of animals my entire life. I lived on a farm until I was about 10 where I helped care for 12 dogs, countless cats, cows, and chickens. Throughout middle school and high school, I watched my neighbors pets when they were away on vacation. I continued throughout college to host a variety of dogs for my friends, family, and coworkers. I believe each pet has their own style and personality and I quickly adapt to exactly what your pets need and want. If they want cuddles, they get cuddles. If they want space, they get space. Either way I will care for them as if they were my own. Plus I have literally been called the dog whisperer.

Amanda was incredibly helpful when we had a last-minute cancelation by a different pet sitter. She was very responsive, came over on short-notice from us, kept us updated with pet photos, and took great care of our cat and dog. We would certainly use her again in the future and would recommend her to others as well.
I have hired Amanda twice to take care of my 95lbs German Shepherd. Amanda is easy to get ahold of and responds quickly to any messagesI leave. I will continue to reach out to Amanda anytime I have a need for a dog sitter, she does a wonderful job.

I met with Amanda for a meet & greet and my kitty cooperated. He came out and was social which surprised me, as he has usually been a bit skittish. Well, the being social seems to have left when I did. Amanda took good care of him - food, litter box, cleaning the occasional vomit to which he is prone - and didn't give up trying to win him over.

I love all breeds. No discrimination here. The more the public hates a dog, generally means the more I will love it. I strongly believe it's the person, not the animal. I would like to know the dog's ability to interact with other dogs. If they are better solo, I will make sure to keep it that way.
A typical day
I live in a nice neighborhood. My place backs up to the woods so there are plenty of trails to walk on. I love to take dogs running, with the owner's permission of course. Also, I pay close attention to the weather and the age of the dog before running with them. I have a kiddie pool for them to cool off in. I love to play with dogs and take them to the park. A dog park is not too far from my house. Of course this is all subject to the wants and desires of the owner.
