Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Amanda and I foster shelter dogs to find them forever homes. I just recently fostered a Pitbull Mix for about 6 months. Her name was Kali and she was about 73lbs. Kali did not get along with other dogs and she was not leash trained. However, I loved caring for her very much. I also have cared for a 30lb Pug my entire life. His name is Mugzy and he currently lives back in my hometown. I am originally from Massachusetts, but I recently moved to SLC, UT for my job. I have cared for multiple dogs throughout my life and I have tons of experience with numerous breeds. I am able to handle dogs of all sizes and any behavioral issues they might have. Keeping a dog safe and healthy is my number one priority. I love to take my dogs on long walks around the city and bring them for the ride when I am picking up something or just going to grab my morning dose of caffeine. I don't mind dogs on my furniture or on my bed; I enjoy the company! I have been around dogs my whole life. When my dog is happy then I am happy. I wouldn't look any further, Amanda has been AMAZING with my frenchie! She updated us throughout the day, sent tons of photos & has been so sweet to him! Took care of him as her own. I highly recommend Amanda!!
Amanda was wonderful with our dog. The pictures we got throughout his stay were of a very happy pup. He came home tired.
Amanda was absolutely amazing and a true lifesaver! My rescues have a lot of fear-based reactivity and struggle when meeting new people/new environments. Amanda was so accommodating and went above and beyond to care for my pups when I needed a last minute sitter. She was so attentive, caring and loving towards coco and kiwi, they even warmed up to her super quickly when that’s been a struggle with other people in the past! 100% would recommend her in a heartbeat!
Amanda was great, Chai had a lot of fun and looks happy from all the pictures we got. Also Amanda was great with picking and returning Chai back home. This save us a lot of time and was a great help. I will highly recommend Amanda and will contact her again for our next vacation.

Although I live in an apartment, my complex has a lot of land with plenty of room to roam around and explore. I live on my own in a spacious one-bedroom that includes a large (+safe) balcony for the dogs to get some extra sunlight or to just enjoy the sunset view in the evening. My apartment does have its own dog park + dog bathing center as well. It is a very dog friendly neighborhood. Your dog will be safe and secure with me!

Please let me know if your dog gets along with other dogs, if your dog is house broken, if your dog has any medication issues I should be aware of and if your dog is friendly with children. These are things I take in mind when leaving the house with your dog so that I can be cautious of who I bring your dog around for safety reasons.
A typical day
I will make sure your dog is stimulated throughout the day, whether it is keeping them busy with games or going on long walks. If you feel comfortable, I would love to bring them on my short drives to pickup lunch or any other quick errands. I know a lot of of the dog parks around me, so if they are friendly with other dogs, I would be able to take them to those as well to spend an extra few hours outside.

Availability
I am currently working a Mon-Fri job where my hours do vary. I am able to work from home 1-2 days a week if needed, but can also easily come home for a few walks throughout the day if not. On the weekends, my only responsibility will be caring for your dog. I absolutely love animals and I could use a friend to spend time with throughout the week.
