I strongly believe a dog can accurately judge character and sense who is a genuinely kind soul, and I have not met a dog that has felt uncomfortable around me. I have taken in dogs and other animals my whole life and even provided 3+ years of excellent animal care at a family-owned pet boarding facility. My current part-time job allows me to work from home, and my schedule is extremely flexible, which lets me prioritize my work on a daily basis. I also have 24/7 access to a friendly, community dog park as part of my apartment amenities. One of my individualized skills is the ability to administer medications, including insulin injections. During my 3+ years working with the boarding kennel, I administered hundreds of vaccines and insulin shots after completing specific training to do so. Oral medications can be tricky, so I have developed several creative ways to administer these medications as well. In addition to basic care, I was assigned grooming duties at the kennel, which included nail trims and baths, along with personal experience with brushing teeth.
