We’ll sing for your pet

Pet care experience

Growing up, our house was always full. At any one time you could count on us having at least two to three cats, one dog, birds, rabbits, and at one time three chickens. I learned to care for animals at a very young age and have always enjoyed creating spaces for animals to feel safe, cared for, comfortable, and in the case of my own dog now spoiled beyond belief. In caring for other animals I have cared for families with the same passion for animals as my own while they’ve been out of the country for weeks at a time - walking two dogs twice a day and caring for many different cats of varying ages. I love living in Austin with my dog because there are endless places to explore each day in the hill country. I would love to get to know your pet and care for them while you’re away for work or on vacation. In this summer heat, I’m sure to take extra care of those pups who need their exercise first thing in the morning or late at night. My dog, Ballou, is a three year old lab shepherd mix who has never met a stranger and would be ecstatic to have your guests in our home. As for the tag line, I’m a big fan of the arts and musical theatre and singing more specifically. One day I was singing scales and Ballou started to howl along with me. He will now sing on command and so I’ll sing ballads and show tunes with him. I’m sure your pet will love our lively home 😊 It is extremely important that everyone feel comfortable and safe in my home. For this reason, we will not be able to host dogs who do not get along well with other dogs.

Amanda was awesome. She was very communicative leading up to and during our dog's time with her. Our dog, Ajax, loved her, and enjoyed his time. He was certainly tired after all of the fun. I definitely recommend Amanda for future requests. It is clear she loves dogs and will take great care of your pup.

Amanda, I wanted to discuss this with you in person unfortunately it seemed you always were in a hurry. I hired you in hopes you would take really good care of my two dogs in my house but instead you caused me a lot of stress and my peace of mind. On Friday Sept 27th you arrived at my house and I introduced you to my dogs around 9:55am and we left at 10:05am. I was thinking you would stay with my dogs until before your interview but instead you left them at 10:20am. By 3pm I was very concerned you weren't back so I messaged you asking you how were the girls doing to see your response and if you would rush to go see them. See, I hired you to house dog sit, this is your first time with them and it is important for them to spend time with you to get to know you. Anyways, my text worked. you went home at 3:09pm, took a picture of them and sent it to me, took them outside for less that five minutes and left again at 3:29pm. You left my girls again for hours. I was really stressing out because I wanted my girls to be in good hands and they weren't. Again I had to text you at 8:09pm to see if you would go check on the girls again. You didn't get there until around 8:30. You messaged me that Charlie had an accident on the bed, that she barked at you, and that both Charlie and Frankie wouldn't come out of under the bed. Of course they were going to react like that after you left them all day. You didn't bonded with them, you didn't make valuable time with them and of course Charlie needed to go potty so she peed on the bed. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior and I couldn't wait to get back home to be with my girls. You had all 5 stars so I thought I could trust you but you proved the opposite of what a dog sitter is. I didn't hired you to do drop ins but to house dog sit. One more thing. You brought an unfamiliar dog to my home without proper greet and meet. I don't mind, I love dogs, I foster dogs too but you didn't ask me and my dogs come first. If you would've of asked me prior to accepting dog sitting for me two things would've of happened. One, I would've of asked for a greet and meet and give you permission to have your dog in my house. Two, I would've of decline and therefor I would've had another opportunity to find a better fit dog sitter. I hope you learn from this and become a better dog sitter because I don't want anyone else to go through this.
