Pet care experience
**Just an update, my home base is in Aurora, but I’m work in Cook County so I am available to sit anywhere** Hi, I’m Amanda. I’ve been dog sitting and dog walking for 15 years. I have experience with many different breeds of dogs from Daschounds to Pit Bulls, various sizes of dogs, and dogs with special needs. I love spending time with animals and this is a way that I can spend my free time doing what I enjoy. I am available everyday and weekends whether it be for a walk or for an overnight pet sitting or just me stopping by to feed them really quick and give them some love and pets. I do work during the day, but I do get a break midday. I am very interested in meeting and getting to know you and your dog. Let me know if you have any questions.

Amanda gave my 18 year old dog the TLC she needs. She also left my home in tip top shape.
Amanda is the best pet sitter we’ve ever had. She treated our pup as though she were her own, sent us pics and kept in close contact while we were out of town. She did everything we asked and then some. Our pup LOVES Amanda. We will definitely use her again and highly recommend her services.
Amanda was a house sitter for us & Raven for a week. She sent photos showing us how happy Raven was to play and cuddle with her. We were disappointed that she didn't walk her. The front door camera (we told her about) never showed her leaving the house with Raven.
Sid was taken care of nicely. He was the same dog we left. Goofy and showed only the signs that his people were home. Amanda was great with him and earned his trust by the second night. He was so comfortable that he slept with her. Great job. We’ve booked her again for a longer vacation in May.

I try to follow my client’s schedule as much as possible. Except for work I’m home with the pet the rest of the time. I try to make it as stress free for the pet as possible. I do send pictures and updates daily.

A typical day
I’m an early riser, so I’m usually up having coffee and doing stretches or going on a morning walk before work. After work I’m home making dinner and going for an evening walk and then I spend the rest of my evening reading or working on my book that I’m writing.

I am a 911 dispatcher. I work 4 days on and 2 days off from 10 am until 6 pm. Other than that I’m a homebody, so I’ll be home with your pet.
