Pet care experience
Cat care is my specialty! I own a four year old Bombay cat, who has special dietary needs, as well as a three year old Calico kitty, whom I feed, play with, take to vet appointments, bathe when needed, and spoil with many cuddles. I treat your pets like my own! I've helped take care of family pet dogs since I was able to walk. I had a Golden Retriever when I was growing up and would bathe, brush, feed, play with, and take her for walks regularly. I've also helped take care of my family pet Maltese, whom I cared for regularly and watched for my parents when they were away. I'd love to care for your dog as I have my own! At my own home, I spend plenty of time each day playing with my own cats, so I would be very comfortable playing with feather wands/ribbon/balls, etc. with your kitty! I also try to go on daily walks, and would love a canine friend to walk with! If there is a particular walk loop your dog routinely goes on in your neighborhood, please let me know and I will ensure we stick to your pup's routine.

I also offer house sitting services, which I typically stay the night at a client's home, care for the pet in the morning, head out for the day (Tues., Wed. & Thurs., I work from an office in DC), and will return in the evenings for dinner. As I have my own pets at home and often have additional drop-in requests/my full-time job throughout a house sitting stay, I am unable to remain at a client's home 24/7 for house sitting requests.

I have a special interest in watching cats! I own two cats myself, and would love to help watch your younger or older kittens/cats. Cat watching comes more naturally to me, and I have experience watching multiple cats at once, as well as temperamental cats - I love a good challenge! :) I am open to watching all cat breeds, and most dog breeds. I have the most prior experience with Golden Retrievers, Malteses, Black Labs, and Beagles. I generally feel more comfortable around small/medium sized dog breeds. A typical day
I love spoiling my cats and my clients' cats with lots of pets and cuddles, playtime, and constant attention and care! I am comfortable watching cats with specific dietary needs (as my own cats are on prescription food diets as well), and have given oral medications before (both my own cats and clients'). Let me know if there are specific needs for your kitty, and I will stick with their routine/needs! I am comfortable cuddling, playing with, brushing, running, and walking dogs too! I have the most experience with small/medium dog breeds, but have also been around larger breeds as well.

Availability
I am fairly flexible with my scheduling, but can also work with a set schedule too, if that is preferred. I am pet sitting part-time, as I have a full-time job that will require me to go into DC three days a week throughout normal work day hours (Tues., Wed. & Thurs.). I can most easily accommodate drop-in visits or dog walking in early mornings and evenings, and can work with you to schedule house sitting requests as well on a case by case basis. On Monday, Friday and the weekends, I have much more availability, and can accommodate drop-ins and dog walks at any time. Happy to work with whatever is best for your pets! :)
