I’m a stay at home mother both of a college aged and elementary aged child. I’ve owned, cared for and loved my own dogs (some dearly departed and waiting at the rainbow bridge) continuously for 27 years. They’ve ranged in size from a St. Bernard to a Chihuahua and in stealth and energy level from a Rat Terrier to a Shih Tzu. I love dog walking so much that I volunteer as a walker at a local shelter. I take pictures of the dogs I spend time walking and “annoy” my friends and family with them. I see a dog’s individuality and remember what they like. Dogs are better than people; but, you can’t force them—they need limits on their terms. I don’t mind walking or playing with a dog in any kind of weather because time spent with a dog is not wasted time.
