Quality Care For Furry Loved Ones!

Pet care experience

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile and learn about my experience caring for your furry loved ones. In this section, I will provide an overview of my experience working with and caring for animals. I am a lifelong pet owner and have wonderful companionships with dogs, cats, fish, and a turtle. I currently have one kitty named Kiki and he is 5 years old. I rescued him when he was 7 weeks old. I have one red ear slider turtle named Snappy and she is 7 years old. I have been a sponsor of the Gentle Barn where I have sponsored two of their animals: Peggy the chicken and Hiroka the Horse. I visit whenever I am able to do so. Personally, I had three amazing, wonderful dachshunds named Bear, Wilbur, and Betsy. They were the loves of my life and we did everything together. They have sadly crossed the rainbow bridge recently and I miss them everyday. Bear was 15, Wilbur was 16, and Betsy was 15. I had Bear since he was an 8 week old puppy and I adopted Wilbur from a shelter when he was 8.5 years old. I rescued Betsy when she was around 6 years old. If you see lots of photos of lots of dachshunds on here, those are my babies! Professionally, I have 14 years of paid experience in the pet care field. I have experience with overnight housesitting (shortest stay was one night, longest stay was 3 weeks). I have experience with dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet taxi services. I have cared for all kinds of personalities and temperaments, ranging from easy going, to slow to warm, etc. Great Danes and tea cup chihuahuas...I've cared for all sizes! I also have experience with cats, chickens, peacocks, turtles, tortoises, and fish. The best part of my job is the relationships built with both the pet and client! I have many long time clients who have used my services weekly for 7+ years. I am convinced that I have the best job in the world!

Amanda is amazing. She is so quick to respond to a request and is always on time. We have used multiple walkers on Rover, but ever since we met and started used Amanda, we have not used anyone else.

AMANDA MADE OUR GIRL'S 2ND BIRTHDAY EVER SO SPECIAL 👑🥳 with the most adorable pics and video (tolerating clothing and accessories, no less!), and her 5-year old BRO had his normal, rocking, good time! 🎸🤘😂 I know that when our Pups go out on their walks with Amanda, they will be kept safe, they will be kept happy, and they will be in great 😍 moods afterwards; then they will nap (hallelujah!) 👏 This makes me, as a Dog Mom, feel confident in entrusting Amanda with their care and we are happy to be a repeat Customer. Hands down, she is the best Pet Friend/Photographer/Videographer/Pet Whisperer with her sweet, calm, and relaxed demeanor. She is amazing with them!! Thank you again Amanda, such a fun day for our Precious Pups and the diary/summary of the walk was so stinkin' cute and funny, my family loved it! My Mom even participated in the fun dressing up our Birthday Girl, which was so fun to do together! See you next time! 😉

Amanda was absolutely amazing! Right before her visit one of my dogs passed unexpectedly and she took such great care of my other dog who was grieving. I will absolutely book with her again!

Safety, trust & environment

I will always treat your pets with lots of love and am very respectful to boundaries with both your pet (e.g., pup only wants pets on their back, kitty needs time to warm up) and your home. I will follow their typical routine as close as possible and send updates at least 2-3 times a day for overnights, and updated scheduled during walks or visits. Safety is my number one priority, so I do all I can to keep your pet safe, happy, and secure!

Information Amanda C. would like to know about your pet

I always like to know about the routine my clients follow with their pets and I follow that routine as close as possible. Are there any behaviors that I should be aware of during walks or in general? How can I make your pet feel comfortable during my stay/visit with them? How can I best make you feel comfortable while you are away? What are your evacuation plans for your pets in case of a fire? How would you prefer me to handle an emergency with your pet?

A typical day

I always like to follow their typical routine as close as possible as I find pets do best when they know what to expect! I am happy to take your pup on neighborhood walks if permitted. Play time and cuddles are always available for your pup during my stay!

Availability

I am available most days and some holidays. I typically begin my walks for my regular clients around 7am (sometimes it is a bit earlier based on the needs of my clients) and have walks/visits throughout the day and evening. If I am doing an overnight sitting for you, I will make sure they have at least one afternoon visit and will spend all unbooked time with your pup. For walks/visits 10:30pm through 5:30am, an additional charge will apply. I am an athlete, so I am often training very early in the morning around 5am and again in the afternoon and/or evening. Keeping up with my training is important, not only so I can stay strong with your pups on walks, but also for the various competitions I attend. Full transparency - I am a cancer survivor in remission, but I still have several doctor that I must be able to attend. Due to this, I may not be the best fit for clients that prefer 24/7 care - I would need to be able to come and go for other clients, appointments, and training sessions. Have a question? Feel free to ask! I want to make sure all is a good fit for you.
