I have been a pet owner/lover/caretaker since I was 5 years old. To me, life without a pet is a very empty time. My husband and I currently have 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a guinea pig named Henry (who happens to also be a reading buddy in my classroom). When we go out of town, if one of our children cannot come care for them, one of my friends will. They are so much more happy at home than at a scary-to-them place like a pet lodge or kennel. It is often said that I think about them first in most instances. What can I say? They’re my fur babies! I am offering that care to your pets as well. You have my word!
