NEED A SUMMER WALKER/SITTER?
Pet care experience
I am a teacher, and have summers off from work. I would be able to give your pup plenty of exercise and attention during the day. I can run/walk/bike/hike your dog! I am a routine person, so I will do my best to make sure your pup's normal routine is followed, from feeding times to walks. I have been around dogs since I was born and have always had a special bond that I want to be able to share that with your pup! I love to take long walks and runs, and will make sure you pup gets plenty of exercise. I would complete at least one 30 minute walk a day. I would be happy to help train your dog to walk or run on the leash if you so desire. If you choose to have me sit your pup, I have a fenced in yard that dogs love! I would always supervise them while out back, and make sure they have plenty of shade and water! I would give your pup lots of love and exercise, and can help train him/her at your request. My husband and dog also live with me, and they love other pups as much as I do!

Amanda would be a great companion for your pet! She is a dog lover, and herself took a rescue dog that was very insecure and turned her into a friendly, outgoing dog. Amanda comes into our home and depending on the needs of our dogs, will walk or run with them, or just hang out to keep them company. She can handle both our high energy shepherd and our low energy mix-breed. I highly recommend Amanda as a dog sitter.

If you are interested in having me walk or check in on your pup, I just would want to make sure they have met me before, and would be familiar with me enough to come into their home.
A typical day
I would take your dog for walks all around the Richmond area. I live very close to Byrd Park, so there are plenty of trails, ponds, and roads to walk. I also live very close to hiking trails, which dogs love to go on. Does your dog love swimming? There are plenty of safe swimming holes to also let your pup explore.
