Life is short... Get a dog!
Pet care experience
Hi there! Thank you for checking out my profile! I adopted my first dog, an Australian shepherd lab mix, in 2016, and I've been a crazy dog lady ever since. I now have a second dog, and have also been a cat owner for most of my life. I joined Rover in 2019 and have done pet sitting for friends for over a decade. My pack is ever expanding, but there is still room for plenty more fur babies! I hope someday to do pet care full-time. I strive to be available in last-minute situations whenever possible, because as a pet owner myself I know how it feels when life gets in the way and we can't be home for our pets as much as we'd like. Please send me a message if you have a dog in need of a walk, play time, or some belly rubs. I look forward to meeting you!

Safety, trust & environment
I take safety very seriously. I do not let dogs off leash — except in a fenced-in yard — even if an owner has trained them well, because you just can't be sure how a dog will react while with someone they're not familiar with.
Information Amanda B. would like to know about your pet
If we set up a Meet & Greet, I will want to know about any behavioral issues your dog may have. What is their walking style? Do they wear a special harness or gentle leader? Do they need to be crated when home alone?
A typical day
My Australian shepherd could play ball from sunrise to sunset every day if we let him, so I am an expert at fetch. I love to walk with my dogs in the Atkinson/Hampstead/Plaistow Town Forest.

Availability
Pet care through Rover is currently my main job. I am generally available most weekdays and Saturday. I try to be available on short notice whenever possible.
