Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Amanda, I moved to Philadelphia for medical school and am currently living alone away from my five dogs. I miss my dogs more than words can describe, so I would love to take care and love-on yours while I'm in Philly! I have extensive experience in the caring of animals, not only for my own but for other people's as well. I volunteered at my local animal shelter for many years in which I walked, boarded, socialized, trained, and cared for dogs, cats, and more. I have pet-sat numerous times for all different breeds of dogs, ranging from pugs to huskies to bernese mountain dogs to bullmastiffs. Moreover, my grandfather was a veterinarian, so I grew up constantly surrounded by animals and people who love them. I have an undying love for all animals and would love to care for yours!

Amanda was incredible with our two pups. She gave me updates on how they were doing throughout the weekend, gave our puppy the mental and physical stimulation she needed, and helped keep our older more anxious pup engaged and calm. We couldn’t ask for a better sitter and will definitely use her again in the future!
Amanda was great with our 7 year old black lab decker! She watched him for 2 weeks and he was happy and healthy when we picked him up - obviously got lots of love and walks! Will definitely use Amanda again.

A typical day
I love to stimulate your dogs physically and mentally. We’ll play a bunch of games, check out all the new smells in the neighborhood, and explore as much as possible! There is a private dog run on my property as well as a great public park very close by which also has a fenced-in dog park and lots of fun to be had.

Availability
On weekdays I tend to have fluctuating availability due to my class schedule, but I have a lot of free-time interspersed between my classes and I have my own car. I promise that your pet is my priority and I will maximize my time such that when I can be with them, I will be!
