Upon reaching out to Amanda and Alexander for a booking, they requested that we do a meet and greet prior to my pup Oreo staying with them. I liked that as I felt that was very important to ensure the sitter was a right fit. The meet and great went well, they showed me where guest (dogs) stay and advise that one of them would stay with her at all times. That was great to hear as Oreo is a 7 month shih tzu that loves being around people. They advised that they keep their dogs separate due to health concerns. I’m thinking great! I dropped Oreo off to smiling faces and she seemed happy to see them again. My friend picked her up one and a half days later and stated that she was not eating like she would normally. I was out of town so I figured maybe it was just jitters from being away from home however when I returned she was the same way. It’s been 3 days and she is still hesitant around feeding time where I have to feed her by hand before she will eat on her own. I reached out to Amanda & Alexander for information on how Oreo did during feeding time. They stated she wanted them to stay with her while she ate however she did eat all her food. They also mentioned that they were with her at all times. Now, this is the second time that I have left Oreo for the same amount of time and there were no issues the first time. Oreo also attends a in home doggy daycare during the week with no issues. Obviously, I can not confirm what happened or did not happen while she was there for that day in a half however Oreo won’t be returning to their home. Amanda & Alex are close to home so I was happy when I initially found them and I hate that this won’t be a reoccurring home for my little Oreo.

Amanda is the best dog mom we know! Her pups are treated like kings and queens and she cares for other dogs just as amazingly. Our Shih Tzu, Lucky, stayed with her when my husband and I went on our honeymoon for a week. I don't think Lucky would have minded if it was two! We highly recommend Amanda!
