I will usually be able to intuitively communicate with your pet in a basic way upon meeting them. I will need to receive an accurate estimate of the walking and exercise needs of the dog(s). It will help me to give your pet the best care if you can let me know about any behavioral emotional issues that your pet might have-- such as chewing, digging, barking, crying, litterbox issues, etc. due to separation anxiety or other fears, and the best way to comfort them in this situation. It is also helpful for me to know if your pet might have any food or eating related issues-- such as a sensitive digestion system, sometimes skipping meals, or the need to have meals at a specific time instead of a window of time. I would also appreciate knowing any appropriate command words you use ('down', 'off', etc) and if your dog is voice trained and can walk off-leash, or in a designated off-leash park.

I take an intuitive and open attitude when I approach pets I am meeting for the first time, offering them space, friendliness and dignity. I allow them to check me out first, while opening my heart to them and letting them know I already love and trust them. I build my understanding of them based on their actions and responses and never push my agendas on them. I let them tell me what they would like to do and follow their lead. I love interacting with animals and receiving what they have to teach me, and it is most always surprising and rewarding. My heart has been opened tremendously through my relationships with beloved pets and all animals I encounter.
