Pet care experience
I have over a decade of experience with cat sitting for friends and family members. People are very thankful for my thorough reports and updates while they're away. I have two cats of my own, and when we're away my favorite thing is receiving our detailed report with plenty of cute photos to reassure us that all is well back at home. I have a strong desire to follow detailed instructions that are tailored to each individual that I care for. I have over ten years of experience caring for cats. I have cat and dog-sitting experience for friends and family members, which is the most fun for me. This includes (but not limited to): feeding, cleaning, playtime, and administering specific medications (diabetic insulin shots for cats). I am very intuitive, sensitive, patient, and detail-oriented person. I currently work part-time as a barista, as well as run my own online gift shop. I am a plant-based personal chef, with over a decade in the food service industry. I have a strong passion for cats, rock climbing, music, vegan food, and tea. I am available to travel to all surrounding areas of Buffalo within 15 miles. I have a wide range of consistent availability that may vary slightly from week to week. Alyssa treats her two cats like her own children, and prioritizes them over anything else. Not only making sure they're fed at appropriate times, but also making sure they're happy and living the best lives a cat could live. Whether that's giving them new toys to stay active with, or keeping them comfortable with custom made cat furniture, Alyssa has your pet covered. I can personally promise that if pets aren't happy, neither is she.
Alyssa has cared for our cats for two recent weekends away. She is committed, on-time and reliable. She clearly takes pride in her attention to the details of our instructions and she keeps in touch, texting updates and even pictures while we are away! This is reassuring and puts us at ease about leaving our fur babies in her care. She is clearly an animal lover and I would definitely feel comfortable using her in the future!
I've known Alyssa for years and can attest to her love and caring for pets, in particular cats. She has been fantastic with our cat, Rocky and is extremely knowledgeable about cats and provides great care. Alyssa is extremely reliable and I couldn't recommend her more! Cleanliness is not only a top priority for my cats (and usually my clients), but myself included. This means that we check litter boxes multiple times per day, clean their food dishes thoroughly, and brush our cats weekly. Playtime is a daily occurrence that is highly sought after by most cats I interact with, if done at the right time. Snuggles and pets are given constantly, along with just being around for the cats to have someone to talk to. I see time with cats as highly valuable, even if they're shy/hiding, or just sit around for some good pets and attention!

A typical day
Each animal is very different with their playtime, walks, and activities of choice. I think that most animals genuinely appreciate when I spend extra time getting on their level, and making sure all the belly rubs and chin/behind the ear pets that have been requested are fulfilled.

I am available Sunday through Thursday, with limited hours on both Friday and Saturday. I work as a barista part-time, as well as a plant-based personal chef on weekends. I will do my absolute best to work with you!
